With an abundance of wealth from trading in fire country and the need of supplies like fresh water and food in wind country, trading villages between the two are known for great wealth. Katabami Village is one of those towns. Katabami is a example of the decadence of man, the building built high and made of fine materials.

Mouki Cave is one of the largest tourist attractions of River Country. The cave itself is inside of the one mountain inside of River Country, the mountain being of same name as the cave. Inside the cave runs a single long river that stretches in between underground cavern, leading from inside of fire country to the borders of wind country. It was said that before the ninja wars that the caves were used for smuggling illegal trade items.

Deep inside the Mouki mountain is a mine of fine metals, these metals combined with the trade from the town has brought Katabami Village great wealth. The mines themselves as of late have become dangerously unstable, the mines being on the verge of breaking down if they don't get serviced soon.

The woods of Jouryoku are a dark brooding place. In the land of river that is usually a cheery place the Jouryoku forest is avoiding by all travelers, this is from the various stories that are told by the bards of the area. One of the most commonly told story is the one of the rogue ninja from the former village hidden in the mist who was tracked down by his village, tortured and then burned alive in the forest, causing a great chunk of the middle of the forest to still be recovering to this day.

Even in the world of ninja's, food is needed. The third portion of River countries wealth comes from the various ranch's and ranges that hold the animals that grow in them in order to "provide" the meat needed for such foods. The Kyojin Range is one of the major ranch's inside river country and provides most of the meat for fire and wind country.
