Physical Appearance & General Article:
- Spoiler:
Kokoro is one of those people who no one notices at first sight, a rather simple and humble posture and stance that prevent from any quick recognition. However, after a more careful analysis, one can see the many of the characteristics this man presents, first of all being the simplicity itself, starting in the way he dresses. The simple blue kimono is somewhat far too traditional for the average shinobi and is itself a mark of this man's presence, simple yet rather practical and good fashion wise, a combination which is crucial, at least in his opinion. This kimono is also long, reaching his feet, which makes it seem that he is sliding through the ground rather than walking, since his feet aren't visible and he walks with an extreme graciousness, which could be far more characteristic of a woman then of a man.
Another thing one would notice would be his eyes, which seem to look at nothing with interest, yet constantly scan for the surroundings, a habit that is due to his passion, paintwork, which demands constant inspiration and careful study. The final significant trait of his appearance would be without doubt, his skin, soft, almost silk like and rather pale, both traits that hardly ever fit in a man, especially not in a shinobi, which makes him look somewhat girlish and delicate, which isn't very far from the truth in a way. Something that isn't noticeable (due to the fact that he isn't naked when he walks around), is the fact that he has no scars whatsoever, not even made from old game times as a child, somewhat something odd, that can however be explained by two different reasons (read history).
Other physical traits of this man include his extremely dark hair which is hardly something abnormal, as well as his stance which is hardly masculine at all, but also not feminine. He just stands or "glides" through the floor without actually making clear of how he walks.
Personality:
- Spoiler:
Just like his own appearance, Kokoro has many distinctive characteristics in his own personality as well, even though, once again, they can be somewhat not noticed at first contact, further interaction with him will prove out that he is very characteristic and strange, although not in a scary way, it can leave the less opened minded people a bit shocked with his ideas and attitudes, even if they didn't think such things could be possible before. To start with, he seems to be vague most of the times, speaking little and showing little to no importance to those around him, a result of his vice for constantly scanning everything around him for inspiration for his art, even if "scanning" the person talking to him, he will most likely not pay attention to any of the words proffered by the other unless they insistently call for his attention usually ending with a loud call, making him snap from his autistic trance.
Despite all of this inability to directly and normally contact with others at first, further dialogue after having his attention will reveal an extremely cult and intelligent person, gifted with many skills and diplomacies, a soft speaker that often needs translation to his words if he manages to “escape reality to look at it from another point of view”, as he likes to say. Kokoro is also extremely open minded, hardly impressed with someone else’s point of view, whatever the matter is, respecting it to a point of even debating it in his head for awhile, if not for the reason of it, just for the simple pleasure that is to consider other points of view which can consequentially further inspire him to his art. This open minded personality and extreme intelligence has also resulted in a somewhat lack of moral behavior, apart from discipline and calm obedience to superior commands, has also made him a person without any actual sexual desire on its own, rather giving himself to pleasure if the opportunity comes, being it a male or a female, as he feels tempted by neither, using mainly their bodies to his please, showing no true love to no one or anything apart from the things he truly enjoys.
There is also no situation on which Kokoro becomes angry, being the maximum state of his displacement a mere annoyance, from which he will react by shutting himself away to focus on the world once again. At the same time, he is also too naive to understand a practical joke from the most simple perspective, rather knowing it is funny merely from the fact that a joke has characteristics that would make others laugh.
Phobia(s): His only true fear is the possibility of removing his freedom of speech and thought, which is what truly makes Kokoro... well, Kokoro. Without it, he would consider himself simple just another shell of men.
History:
- Spoiler:
Just like something coming from a myth, a story filled with enchant and impossibilities and at the same time familiar situations where everything is and isn’t simple at the same time, so is Kokoro’s historic background. To start with, one should make a fair reference to the parents of this person, a pair of strange individuals themselves who lived for nothing except art, and perhaps to each other. Both residents in Ame no Kuni, the two were remarkable artists and both had traveled through the world together before setting their home and their marriage at that place rich in landscape detail and constant purification. The two artists were incredible intelligent and cult, however the child was not planned as they were still rather young and life was still screaming for them to travel more in search of something that would give even more meaning to their lives.
Regardless of this, the child was welcomed into the world and into the arms of a loving yet very unusual family, moved by principles and new ideas rather than ethics and traditions, although they did have respect for everything existing in the world and tried to understand and accept all concepts and all forms of thought. Thus, this was Kokoro’s prime education method, traveling throughout the world even before being old enough to walk by himself and until the day he returned to the house he had been born in five years later. The young child was practically a copy of their parents, except with a much more curious enthusiasm, typical of all children, with the only particularity that he didn’t express it like any other. Instead of being amazed, standing in awe in front of something new and interesting, he would simply look at it and try to figure it out for himself, silently and never with the help of his parents unless he truly wanted to know something he couldn’t understand alone, after all, he was just a five year old child.
Years passed by and Kokoro became even more in tune with what surrounded him, gaining the same passion for art that his parents had, perhaps even taking it to a further extent, making it his life completely dedicated to it. His only hobbies that were not art were to get inspiration for art, something that he learned to do by watching the rain fall while blowing soap bubbles from a small tube, his only toy since a child (simply due to his own predilection), never playing with other children even if in their company, rather preferring to watch and meditate on matters of his own than participate in games he did not relate to.
His entry to the academy came a few years later, at the age of 10, time at which his parents discovered him playing in an unusual way with his soap bubbles, having several of them around him without fleeing away with the wind or popping at which Kokoro simply explained that he was making them stay around him and that he had created a new piece of art. Proud with their child skill and especially eager with such a new art form, his parents were quick to make him entry the academy in order for him to learn the arts of Ninjutsu. The two years spent by were easy for such a smart child, although his teachers had often remarks about his lack of socialization if not pulled into the matter, considering it strange due to the fact that the child didn’t particularly seemed shy at all. He passed with fine marks, although he was hardly the best when it came to physical tasks and was soon introduced to a Sensei who taught him as a Genin.
During this period of time, Kokoro was able to become more familiar with his Suiton Nature, as well as create a few special techniques of his own which he developed after his original idea and his new art form innovation: bubbles, so simple light and beautiful, this was what he liked the most about them. Soon as the years passed, Kokoro was now fourteen of age and the Chuunin exams arrived, the most difficult task he had ever faced in his life and the only moment where he truly felt some fear. Even thou, he had never killed anyone, not even when he could have done it, he wasn’t bloodthirsty, rather choosing an incapacitating solution to a killing one, a purification rather than an elimination. He passed the exams and became a Chuunin at which point he further dedicated his art to a finer extreme until the current days.
Other Information Ailments/Diseases: Not that I know of, he's perfectly healthy. Hobbies: Painting, Playing Flute, Writing Poetry, Watching falling rain, Playing with Soap Bubbles. Personal Effects: He carries just a simple notebook, a brush and some ink for him to write his poetry and make his notes when he gains inspiration about something.
